The Volunteer Council represents all volunteers of Dynamo. The members of the council are volunteers themselves and are familiar with the organisation. They advocate for the interests of volunteers and serve as a ’tester’ within the organisation. The council regularly visits locations to engage in discussions with volunteers. Questions or concerns are collected and discussed to the management meetings. Solutions and measures are then communicated back to the volunteers. Additionally, the Volunteer Council closely monitors Dynamo’s volunteer policy and ensures that agreements are being upheld.

As a volunteer at Dynamo you’re doing something right for the neighbourhood and you gain a small bonus. Each voluntary hour you work, you gain a ‘makkie’. ‘Makkie’ is the local coin of Amsterdam Oost. With the ‘makkies’ you earned you can pay or get a discount. There are several deals with local restaurants/pubs, shops, settlements and cultural institutions. Check the website how and where you can spend your ‘makkies’. In this way you help your neighbourhood, neighbours and yourself!
When you work at least 1 year as volunteer at Dynamo, you can join the application procedures as an internal candidate.
